Richard W. King is both a site and house general contractor with extensive experience in the Berkshire Region as a construction & property manager for private residential projects since 2009.
Mr. King has parlayed his education and background in Engineering, into all of his endeavors.
Mr. King established in 1988 DATA KING, which focused on marketing and sales for the time share condominium industry. Their headquarters was in Pittsfield, MA and a satellite office in Albany, NY. At their height, they had 185 employees and were marketing projects throughout the United States. Due to poor economic conditions, the firm was closed in 2008.
In 2008 Mr. King established King Richard Property Management LLC. Significant projects include:
- 1990– 2015 New home on 18 acres in Lenox, MA. This 5,500 SF home and ½ acre engineered pond with extensive landscaping and grounds with an adjacent gunite pool and 3 car carriage barn. All projects were professionally designed by his Architect, Professional Engineer, and Landscape Architect. Extensive permitting with MA DEP and Corps of Engineers, for the pond. Mr. King acted as the Construction Manager for all design, construction, and maintenance.
- 2016– Present New home on 3 acres in Richmond, MA. This 3,500 SF home. All projects were professionally designed by his Architect, Professional Engineer, and Landscape Architect. Extensive permitting with Richmond Conservation Commission under the Scenic Mountains Act, for home, site work and landscaping. Mr. King acted as the Construction Manager for all design, construction, and maintenance.
- 2021-22 Site work, masonry, landscaping for a private residence in Stockbridge, MA set on 4 acres near the Housatonic River. Master Plan and Design by Craig Okerstrom-Lang, RLA, ASLA.
- 2021-22 Site work, masonry, landscaping for a private residence in Great Barrington, MA set on 10 acres at the private enclave of Birch Ridge on Long Pond Road. Design by Craig Okerstrom-Lang, RLA, ASLA.
Mr. King is a Member of the Pittsfield Country Club; Member of the Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce, a Berkshire County resident since 1988

Wentworth Institute of Technologies, Associates degree of Building Construction 1972- 1974 with honors.
